As other members have said, the point isn't that a significant percentage of Americans are fat (and I believe the rate is above of that of other developed countries). The main thing is that extremely obese people are hard to see overseas, while it's not pretty uncommon for the USA.

But the great thing about our country...we are importing our fast food restaurants to the rest of the world. Pretty soon, everyone will be as fat as we are.

You know what bugs me? When you see someone who is overweight, and they are eating their fast food when they are driving, stuffing that hamburger in their face. Why can't they just wait till they get home?

So what if Americans are fat? At least we have better food than most people, we're the most powerful country on the planet, we're richer than most people from other countries, we are more "civilized" than a lot of countries, we're more sanitary, and a hell of a lot less chaotic, so all I have to say is kiss my American a**. And by the way, not all Americans are fat...take me for example

TO THE VICTOR GOES THE SPOILS! FAT IS A SIGN OF SUCCESS! USA! USA! USA! LOL! You don't see a whole lot of over-weight people running around 3rd world countries do you. There are billions of people who would love to have our problem of obesity. We all know the health ramifications, but let's keep things in perspective. Which problem would you rather have? Too much food, or not enough? Just some food for thought.
