I think with its proximity to other cities (New York), the relatively low land value (also compared to NY), and Center City's progressive, highly-dense zoning, this building is appropriate. Jersey City's skyline is booming because of its proximity to NY. I think it looks pretty nice too.

How much opposition there is to it being built though, is another story. Is there much?
oh, there's always opposition. some aging tenants, a neighborhood association and a state senator/full-time criminal are fighting it tooth & nail. why? because it will block their sunlight..

i'm serious

The recognition and image it would bring to Philadelphia should overshadow the lack of sunlight it would cause. The American Commerce Center is a great idea.
