I live in Michigan and I'm happy here. Tons of lakes, forests, islands, dunes, variety of weather, etc. Plus the cost of living is low.

I'd have to agree with the people saying Oregon's nice. Haven't lived there, but I did visit, it seems awesome!

Very happy with Michigan
So-so in Maine
Didn't like Texas

Michigan is a very beautiful state and has some amazing beaches, couple that with good wages and low cost of living and I'll never leave again.

Maine has some great views and some very friendly people, but high cost of living and low wages

Texas was just too darn hot and dry for me. Felt like I was in an oven during the summer months and I just can't take the heat. Nice people though.

Default States

TN is the best state I have ever lived in. KY is definately the worst! Next to "confusion" that is.

I was very unhappy in Florida. And believe me, I gave it a good try: Tampa, Gainesville, Miami, and St Lucie County.

I was very happy in Utah (SLC) and Georgia (Atlanta), and I am immensely happy in Tennessee, especially Cookeville and Knoxville.

Moving to Tennessee. Florida sucks walnuts. Is there a lot of jobs in Knoxville or Chattanooga?

I am, at least try to be, a happy guy.
If the question is favorite place to live it would be NJ Shore, Monmouth County specifically.
Least favorite is easy, Dallas, TX.
