I travel quite a bit and notice that many Metro Area's of Cities seem to lack trees. When the memo went out about the value of an urban forest, they did not read it.

The experts on global warming are promoting a strong urban forestry program and the Tree City USA Program is also popular.

What Metro Area has the Greatest Urban Forest? (the most trees per square mile)

For as disgusting and sterile as Atlanta's suburbs are, I must admit I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of urban forestry it had in the city proper.

In my experience, Atlanta seems to be very green and has a wonderful canopy.
