Austin? I thought this thread was supposed to be about Southern cities. Unless by Southern you mean any city in the Sunbelt. In that case you would have to include Phoenix, L.A., Las Vegas, San Diego, etc.

In South Carolina there are 4 sauces used: mustard, vinegar, heavy tomato, and light tomato.

Austin is generally considered Southern from what I can tell.

Yep, and mustard is the best of all of 'em.

San Antone could likely one day become a very great city. It's already EXTREMELY UNDERRATED and ignored.

Yeah, it's very sprawled with poor public trans, the night life isn't anything new, the airport is pitiful, and there isn't a great deal of diversity, but all of those things can change. It already has a great historical downtown, charming neighborhoods, a hilly landscape, etc.

As of now I'm not sure I would want to live there, but I love visiting SA.

Depending on the context, Austin can be Southern.

I definitely agree Atlanta has the most unique skyline. In the picture just below the tall building almost completed is a condo in a new development Atlantic Station.

If you owned a unit on the south face of the condo you would have this view of Downtown Atlanta.

From a unit on the East Side you could see this. Midtown.

And from a condo on the North Side of the building you would have this view of Atlanta's Buckhead district stretching up to Sandy Springs towers.

Yes Atlanta's skyline and architecture in general is very awesome. Downtown's skyline is very sleek and all the angles of the Buckhead district wow me.
