it seems like there is a new top 10 list every 3 days, I think they are a bunch of bull.

Definitely. Top 10 lists try to appeal to a wide-range of criteria, and usually include the same cities time and time again. Yet a lot of places are great places to live, even if they might not be popular or even have good statistics to back themselves up.
