Here are the cities with the highest crime rates (2006). Numbers indicate rank nationally---these are the top ones in the Midwest:


1. East St. Louis, IL
5. St. Louis, MO
13. Detroit, MI
14. Flint, MI
20. Saginaw, MI
25. Muskegon Heights, MI
27. Harvey, IL
