Now any of the large cities on this list there are good parts that have much lower crime, and in some cases can be half or more of the city area itself.

I don't understand why people always say the south side of Chicago. The west side is worse.

How is that implying whites are supreme? What the poster said happens to be true. And I'd imagine the poster would be willing to admit that it is more of an economic thing, and the people in that economic situation happen to be black.

Chicago has far worse gang activity than Milwaukee and Gary. And any gang problems either of those cities have is probably because of Chicago. I believe the GDs are big in Milwaukee, but I could be wrong.

It's probably true that if either Chicago's west or south sides were individual cities they would be #1 in this category. Fact of the matter is that would make the demographics more similar to places like Gary or Detroit. And to save the time of whoever decides to ride in on their bogus moral high horse and label me a racist for saying that, I'll state again it is more of an economic issue in my opinion.

You brought up a 1 year old post for this?

Yes some areas on the westside and southside of chicago are not far from the most dangerous in the country, but that doesn't reflect the entire city of Chicago like the title and topic of the thread states. You have to look at the whole city overall and look at the average, in Chicago downtown, the northside, northwest side, southwest side, southeast side, some areas on the southside are average crime rate to very safe.

This is one of those really stupid questions that takes a lot of thought so as to come up with a really stupid answer to equal the originator's intelligence.

. . . . I'm thinking but, alas, have better things to do.

Oh, wait. How about Fargo?
