Thanks for this rule!

That said....

Best over-all appearance: Boston
Most beautiful lake scenery: Salt Lake City (would have went with Tahoe, but it's unfortunately not a city)
Most beautiful costal scenery: San Diego
Most beautiful mountain city: Asheville, NC
Most beautiful architecture: Charleston, SC

I think Boston, New York, Philly, Baltimore, DC, Charleston, Pittsburgh, Savannah, Chicago, San Francisco, Honolulu, Newport, Richmond, San Diego, Minneapolis /St. Paul and St. Louis are the most Beautiful Cities in the US! But there are too many towns to name!

Washington DC. At least the downtown area, particularly in summer with the tree lined streets.

I agree with all of those except for Salt Lake City. Even though the city is named for the Great Salt Lake, it's not actually on the lake. Well, the airport is, but that's about it. You can't even see the lake from downtown SLC (it's around the mountain). I think since the lake is so salty and is kind of smelly in the summer, the early settlers didn't want to be very close to it.

But good call on the others.
