Yes, I vote for VA.
When I think of W VA, it reminds me of a t-shirt I once saw that said, "Row faster, I hear banjo music"...

Virginia. There is no question.

West Virginia has very little to offer in the way of good schools (secondary and postsecondary, public and private,) health care, and economic development.

Virginia was recently voted as the best state for business. That means...growth!

Both states have breathtaking natural scenery, though!

Overall, Virginia. But there are some parts of VA that are not unlike parts of WV.

No contest, my lifelong home Virginia (just avoid the Northern part.)

West Virginia, for me, cant be thought about without the word "hillbilly."

Depends what you are looking for. If you are looking for more rural living and outdoor activities (such as white water), both West Virginia and Virginia have places that would appeal to you. If you are looking for a more (ahem) cultured area, than Virginia is going to have your better options by far.
