I've only seen a few, but from those few I can tell you that the show in SF was definately the best. They fire them off of a boat in the middle of the bay and if you go in the right spots it can be a truley ionic moment.

It's Boston. Other than D.C. or Philly, I can't think of a more appropriate place. Plus, Boston's display setting is picturesque as hell.

I agree. San Francisco's fireworks are amazing. So huge. And from the Hills you see the city's , Oakland's and Berkeley's fireworks all at the same time.

from past experiences, the tv always seems to showcase, chicago, nyc, boston & dc

they must have the biggest budgets

Ahh, how could you not have Houston? Said to be the largest land based fireworks show, and it is broadcasts all across the Southwest. Over one million expected to watch.

Have any of you actually set off your own fireworks? If you had, you would know that those that you set off yourself are the most spectacular by far. Next 4th of July you should all take some time off and head to South Carolina. There, you can buy state-fair quality fireworks and set them off in your own backyard. A personal firework show? Now that is really special.

NYC is NOT the best july 4th, get a gripp, boston is!!! although nyc may be good in other things.
