SF has a good july 4th(was there for it a few years ago) and I remember while living in the Seattle area putting on my own firework show(when it was legal to do it) with the neighbors.

Honolulu has a firework show every week on friday at 8pm and is going to have 3 seperate shows on july 4th. One at waikiki, another at aloha tower, and one at Pearl Harbour.

I would think NYC would have the best fireworks because they have the most money to get the most, but Chicago would be a close second.

LOL, someone else pointed that out about three years when the thread was started. Yes, you'd think Philly would be a major celebrant in remembering the Declaration of Independence!

NYC's are pretty impressive, six barges of fireworks lined up in the Hudson.

Philadelphia's fireworks are excellent, it is inappropriate to leave it off a list such as this. I've seen fireworks in D.C., Boston, NYC, Atlantic City and in Philly. D.C. might have been the best show I've seen, and I was in NY during the 1976 celebration which was... spectacular. But Philly has a top-ten fireworks show, and if you include the whole environment, including the fact that the holiday celebrates events that took place... in Philly, I do think it was a glaring omission for this poll. Also Philly is one of the nations biggest cities, and one of the most vibrant downtown(s) making its exclusion even more curious. I vote for Philly.
