America: What city do you adore the most in terms of overall most pleasant climate, pedestrian friendliness, natural setting, close access to the ocean and mountains, good job oportunities, low cost of living, diverse population, ratio of sunny to cloudy or rainy days, decent public transportation, friendly people, activities and festivals, reasonably low traffic, proximity to other great towns and cities, etc.?

By the way, the city doesn't have to be large, small and medium sized cities are welcomed too.

Id go for Reno, Nevada on my personal experiences, this could get into another discussion about boasting up your own town, but ah well its all good.

This is actually a really cute idea, but we should make it a rule that you have to talk about a place other than where you live. Otherwise the bias of half the people on here will be quite apparent.

That said, I'll nominate Charleston, SC. It's a truly underrated city. It has a really unique vibe, complete with great local architecture, the beach, walkable neighborhoods, super-friendly residents, a pleasant climate, and a one-of-a-kind culture. And it's pretty affordable.

Well, the intent of this thread is to get people to explore and talk out about great cities across the nation that are rarely talked spoken of.

That's what I'm hoping we can avoid.

Yeah I know what you mean but there will be some people who will try to boast up their own place, but hopefully those people will nominate a place outside their own, this is a very good thread though.
