There are better places for many people. Some thing Texas is best for them, some think New York is, some thing Washington is, etc. It's all just opinion.
Exactly! Which is why it makes it that much more annoying when people keep saying that their state is the best as if it were fact.

I grew up in Texas and left as soon as I could. I go back only because I have to visit family. I would not wish Texas on my worst enemy.

That wasn't the question. You claim Houston and Texas are growing the "fastest" b/c they have the largest numerical increases. So by YOUR definition NYC is the "fastest" growing city in America, is it not? So please actually answer the question: From 2000-2007 would you consider NYC the fastest growing city in America? YES or NO?
Kofi, I'm just curious if you were ever going to answer this question or just ignore it..... It seems you don't want to answer it b/c it you would have to admit NYC was the fastest growing city by your definition but only seem to want to use that definition when it applies to TX cities.... like I already said, you can't just spin things in your favor.

I voted no. But I've been in TX (Austin and Houston) for many years and don't plan to move anytime soon. There are lots of advantages. But in order for me to figure out what the "best state" was, I'd have to sit down, do a really in-depth analysis of them all, and then go experience all of them first-hand. Not going to happen... so I'm not going to pick a best state.

We had to break up anyway because I was a grade ahead of her and it was my senior year and I was going to be away for awhile, and I just couldn't do the long distance thing.... y'know.
