I am white. Ancestors came from England and The Netherlands. The Dutch ones came here with Spanish and French surnames, though, so they were mixing it up before they got here.

In a poll like this, hispanics are going to be underrepresented as the actual total share of this country. This is probably because many still don't speak english as latinos have not completely assimilated for the most part. Otherwise, this poll is quite similar to the actual demography of the united states.

Wouldnt a french canadian count as latino? I mean if brazilians are latino because they speak a latin language, shouldnt french canadians be latino?

I am not french canadian, however

I don't like referring to myself as simply "white." I've got Dutch ancestors, but I'm overwhelmingly Anglo and French.
