Each "race" is diverse in itself.
There are enough Blacks who have strong European physical characteristics, and people from Ethiopia, Namibia, Madagascar, Burkina Faso, and a dozen of other countries look vastly different from each other. Not to mention the different cultures, languages, ethnicities.

I think I read once there is more genetic variation within Africa than there is in the entire rest of the world. The people of Madagascar are quite different being a mix of Indonesian and African.
Although some of the variation in Africa maybe doesn't reach us. I don't think we have a large Pygmy (not sure what else to call them as a group) population. I believe France has something of a Pygmy population, but it ruled many of the African nations where they lived. The Khoisan I don't think leave their homeland very often. Most African Americans I believe are of West and Central African descent, although our President's African father was of the Luo of Kenya.
