Hawaii, b/c you have the warm water and white sand of Florida plus the variety, waves and natural scenery of CA beaches combined into one. Plus Hawaii has better weather and scenery than FL and many parts of CA. You ever swim on a warm sunny beach with 80 degree water staring up at a snow capped volcano in FL?

Florida! Clear, warm water. White sand. Nothing beats it.

I really like CA beach towns, such as Huntington. They're just fun places to explore. But the water is always cold, which is a bit of a downside.

Hawaii is nice, but not always the most practical option (waaay overpriced for vacations).

Hawaii (obviously) and California. The beaches in LA aren't that great... but the LA coastline is a miniscule percentage of the entire California coastline-- which is absolutely outstanding.

California is Best. Second best is Oregon, which is missing. Third is Washington, also missing. I guess it depends on what you want from a beach. If you want amazing scenery and beautiful ocean, CA, OR and WA, are it. If you want to sit and tan, you could probably do that on your roof.
