I'll let them treat the old man, eh?
If your yuppie daughters are thinking of Piece, in Wicker Park, then it is pretty good, I've eaten there myself. Not as good as the real thing, but definitely pretty good (and yes, I've eaten the clam pizza there), they also have some good beer there as well.

The atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired (in that it is a yuppie pizza joint ), but the pizza and beer is good, so I put up with it.

Found it by accident while I was staying at a nearby hotel and was craving a decent pizza. Some guy in the hotel lobby recommended the place.

Never been to Beggars.

I've always been fond of Aurelio's in Homewood.

That's the place. Thanks.

I've eaten at Aurelio's a few times. They seem to be a local chain. Service with a smile and good food!

Yeah, it is a local chain, mostly the south-suburbs and a few in Northwest Indiana and that is pretty much it. I grew up on the stuff.

Some of the Chicago area eateries offer a thin crust pizza.

Let me guess, they live in either Bucktown or Wicker Park, and they want to take you to Piece. If nothing else, their house-brewed beer is quite good.
