I think people are missing the point. He asked about campuses that people found impressive. Anyways, lammius how is it you've been to so many campuses? Which one did you like the best?
That's what my list represents. Why would you thnk otherwise?
No one's been to Ohio State in Columbus? Although it doesn't have the amazing natural setting like BYU and the UC schools, it is rather beautiful. Will post some pics soon.
I guess I lied saying in the opening saying I'd only been to my own school, as I've also been to Kent State, Miami U, and Akron (I'm from ohio, have friends there). Miami was nice, but I can't agree with it being THAT great!
I'm a Big Ten guy that's personally partial to true college towns such as Champaign (home to my alma mater), Madison and Ann Arbor, but if you have been to Pepperdine, you wouldn't have to think twice about this subject. I don't know how the students get anything done over there - it's like a beach resort. There are a number of colleges that have great architecture (University of Virginia, Duke), nice college town areas (University of Georgia, University of Wisconsin), access to mountains (University of Colorado, BYU), or vibrant urban neighborhood settings (NYU, Georgetown), but the setting for Pepperdine in the hills overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Malibu is unmatched.
