Some areas I am considering are Texas, Colorado, Georgia, and Tennessee. I have heard that Austin, Denver, and Nashville are nice, although I have heard mixed things about Atlanta. I am also considering going to Indiana, even though the weather there is terrible. I visited Indiana this spring and the people are so nice there. Totally different from the rude people in the northeast.

Don't get me wrong, for everyone who likes Philly, Boston, or NY, they are great cities for some people. Lots of things to do, great food, lots of history. But I am more of an outdoors person... I like biking and hiking. There is not much green in these big cities.

Just wondering what everyone thinks is the best city to meet nice people. So far, i would have to say the nicest people I have met were in Mississippi when I did a service trip to help the Gulf Coast rebuild from Hurricane Katrina, and in Indiana, on a trip with my friend.
I feel the same way as you but maybe within the "Northeast" its the demographic you want to look for. I live near DC and that internist, self style intellectual yuppie crowd from DC itself is definitely a no-no for me. But there are plenty of nice girls out in the suburbs, especially the farther out suburbs. I don't know about New Jersey, but at least in MD and VA once you leave central DC a bit it starts to feel like middle America. Also espeically if your in the Northeast, stay away from girls from rich old money type families, they (as well as guys from the same families) are very stuck up and ignorant and live in their own little world. When I was in high school in a rich suburb just outside DC, my friend drove a Corolla to school and ppl called it a ghetto car.

Default women in lexington

the not-so-nice men [and some other women] in lexington teach the young ladies what to do and how to behave to 'get ahead' and what is in demand when it comes to what a young lady has to offer.

seems here in lex being a call girl or stripper or being part of the "entertainment" in kentucky is what the girls are being brought up on. if you want a "good girl" don't look in cities with a lot of entertainment, look to the farm lands, horse barns and small towns where women value other things besides money fame and fake boobs. LOL

Absolutely right on target. Unfortunately that snobby attitude also extends into Missouri as well. I have to laugh at it because most of these people here that act high and almighty would be considered a less than desirable commodity in the most well to do areas of New England and New York. And it seems to be no accident that the snobbiest people in the Northeast seem to be transplants from other areas of the country.

Back in 1990 when I first moved to Minnesota I lived with a woman in Eagan for a while. Her older Brother asked me why I wanted to live with his sister because in his words "you can have ANY woman you WANT"! I didn't know what to say and I certainly did not want to insult the woman I was living with so I just kept my yap shut. Quite a contrast to the rejection I get in Kansas City when I've never even had any true interest in these woman. Very early on I saw them for what they are and lost interest quickly.

I think California has what you're looking for, especially North Cali.

Largely true though I've found the "Nouveau Rich" in New England and NY to be much more snobby than old money. When I went to the Princeton club in Manhattan I did not run into anybody copping an attitude with me. And this is true about every other time I've hob knobbed with old money. In contrast, I've received nothing but ATTITUDE from the new money and white trash in the Kansas City region and other regions of the country.

Back to the topic at hand. Beefalo, NY is another place with friendly women. During my travels and brief stay there I found the women in their 20's to be quite friendly while women my own age were and are not. I think a few of them like older guys because I could have dated a couple of them. :-)

Girls in the Northeast are terrible? Really? Because my school is crawling with hot girls. Honestly, bud, don't speak for a region you know little about outside of maybe Philly. And it's quite apparent you don't know much about Philly.

Kind of an offensive post, pal. I have an older sister and I live in the Northeast. She's very pretty. And you're going to think about Indiana? Can't say they're known for their hotties...

He's partly correct though I think it may have something to do with being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I once went out with a girl from Westchester, NY during a visit to McGill University in Montreal. She was incredibly stuck up and acted like she was superior to everyone else. She was from a new money family. A few years earlier I dated a girl from an old money family in Westport, CT and she was very nice and down to earth.
