Absolutely heinous crime. Takes a real sick mind to come up with that when us normal people would never ever think of such a thing. Sometimes I wish we had public hangings just for such crimes as that.

As far as I could find they still don't have any leads in this double murder. When we lived in the D/FtW area we used to take weekend drives in Oklahoma. It was like "going back in time". Never would guess something like this would happen there. Sad, very sad.

It wasn't too terribly long ago by human lifespan terms (100 or so years) that the world was such a place that most men and even some women carried guns on them at all times in order to protect themselves from the world's evils, which were around them.

Later, we developed "police" and we became confident that those days were gone. Unfortunately, history has a way of repeating itself. I fear we're nearing those days yet again. Unfortunately in this case it wouldn't have mattered as I don't see any day that children will be carrying weapons to defend themselves, but we may well be nearing the last days when you can allow children to wonder anywhere without an adult by their side.

America is a GUN CULTURE.

I hate to say it, but in this country, there will ALWAYS be a very large population of people being killed by guns, ALWAYS.

It's not right, but I don't see it changing anytime in the next few hundred years at least.

The issue is not guns. The issue is the fact that some are willing to take the life of innocents. When the killer/s of these girls are found I hope they are given the DP.
