Jersey City has a couple of small-time bands and rappers who have various odes to "Chilltown," but I don't think there's a Jersey City song that is widely known. "Devil in Jersey City" by Coheed and Cambria might be a start, but I don't think the song really has anything to do with Jersey City at all.
Statewide, it's a different story. Sappy songs our grandparents knew, like "I'm from New Jersey" and "On the Way to Cape May" or contemporary (yet comedic) songs like Chunky Pam's "Dirrty Jersey" or The Lyonhart's "Jersey Fresh" are songs entirely on the subject of NJ and NJ pride.
NJ's icons Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi are legends in this state. Bruce sings a lot about NJ in his songs, beginning with his first album, "Greetings from Asbury Park" in the '70s.
Bon Jovi's timeless hit "Livin on a Prayer" gets NJ bar/club kids more pumped than anything I've ever seen. It's a song that will never die in NJ. I could be in Vermont in the dead of winter, and if I hear "Livin on a Prayer" I am instantly transported to a beach party or bar at the Jersey Shore. I consider the song an unofficial NJ theme song.
