Default Which is worse- too hot or too cold

I wanted to get an idea from the general US crowd rather than the weather forum crowd because of all of the people that may be relocating, searching for their perfect place. It seems to me that in "real life", people would much rather deal with heat than the cold. On here, it seems inverse. Am I right?

Too hot. If you are cold, at least you won't sweat and feel like your in a stove.

Too hot. At least when it's cold I can layer, or get under the covers. When it's too hot, once you get to the point of NAKED, and it's still too hot, well, you're screwed.

Too hot.

You can dress for the cold. Once you've shed all your clothes in the heat it's still hot and you're still miserable.

TOO Cold.

Having sat thru many a sports games outside be it when I was younger or now that I'm a parent - too cold is MISERABLE! Sure "too hot" is not a ton of fun but I can get a cold drink, walk around w/o being "cumbersome" by layers upon layers of clothing and there is a point where the sweat does help your body cool down.

I've been outside all afternoon here in 100+ weather at a pool party for one kid, sporting event for another and a MUSCLE CAR SHOW that we drove to in a car w/ NO A/C and sat out in the parking lot at it on concrete. In winter there are no car shows to get out and go to as the weather is too bad. Sure I sweated a pool full today and probably dropped 20 lbs but you can do it. If it is too cold your not going to be outside for hours on end or going to car shows w/ classics and all.

Give me the heat over bitter cold anyday. Afterall, it is just preparing me for my retirement to the islands

I'll have to go with too hot as well. The heat is just something that is so unpleasant and one can't cool off. It's really even too hot to be swimming unless the pool or lake or whatever is in the shade. If one is cold, bundle up, take a jog, and get toasty warm quickly. I LOVE doing yard work in the cold weather. I can last all day long and not get tired. In the heat, I can hardly stand a few hours of working outside.

I have a friend who used to live in Dallas and now lives in Atlanta. She said, "Yes, it gets hot here but it doesn't last as long as it did in Dallas. Also, Dallas has the type of heat that just "knocks you down."
