I would have put new orleans pre katrina since it was more famous for being the murder capital as much as it was famous for thier mardi gras.

I also believe that the whole states of alabama and mississippi got bad rep for the role they played in the civil rights era. You would be amazed how man new americans I met in nyc who believed that the south is racist and scary. I had to explain to lots of people that that time is long gone and we live in harmony here in the south lol.

Baltimore because of its high crime rate, although it's a nice place to visit if you stay in the right places.

St. Louis and Newark...pretty scary.

How about Washington DC? I figured it would already be on the list, because of it's crime.

I guess im the only one here who actually grew up in pretty notorious Omaha neighborhoods. Most of you that either been to Omaha or lived in Omaha, either just know the Old Market, which is safe except for a couple of bums harassing you and Millard or West O which is not even Omaha to me. I've been away for a few years but there are tons of shootings still. Omaha's gotten a bad rap for gangs for a long time, even when I was in highschool, Omaha was on an MTV gang series (that was 10 years ago). Now, MS-13 has been blowing up all over south Omaha. Crime is pretty high considering the size of the city (800,000 metro). Anyway, my point is... there is more on the news than cow tipping guys.

I go to St. Louis a couple times a year. As long as you know where you're going, you'll probably be okay. I really don't find it that scary.

The only thing scary in St. Louis is our bullpen.

Omaha is not notorious or infamous at all. I will tell you that 98% of people have no idea about that stuff in Omaha, also its not even that bad. Omaha is Probably one of the nicest, most rural/suburban of the midwest larger cities. You want an infamous big Midwest city than look at Detroit, Cleveland, and St. Louis.
