Last warning... quit callin me names and calling me ignorant. I cant help the fact YOU dont know what the word GENTRIFICATION means. Putting up a new hotel in downtown L.A. is NOT GENTRIFICATION. Chicago and NYC are the kings of gentrification, not L.A.
Contrary to your belief, Im not forming ANY kind of bizarre "alliance" with New Yorkers. For Heavens sake, kid!
But i voted other, Columbus. Just because I live here, and see it occurring extensively. Can't comment on the other cities because I don't have enough info.

no offense, Columbus doesn't come to mind of regretification over the vast of other older industrial cities. Columbus is weird, in that it is more like a sun-belt type city in the middle of Ohio. Although, some older neighborhoods are being gentrified there without a doubt.
Again, (for everybody) Just because it is growing isn't the same as Gentrification.
a new urban, hip neighborhood with theaters, bars, coffee ships, condos, etc built on a old steel mill site to help gentrify they surrounding areas.
Not building a new shopping mall on a empty lot that use to be a wetland.
It saddens me to see that people on this forum actually voted higher for a spawling sunbelt city, then a old-industrial city turning around faster then ever with projects such as the southside works. I mean come on people.
