Not that I put much stock in these kinds of lists, but Atlanta...how can that be?
According to this forum...the Atlanta metro is just a collection of uneducated rednecks and gangbangers, running around killing each other between the new shiny glass buildings in the city or lazing around at their suburban McMansions, occasionally eating out at lousy chain restaurants (when they can get there since traffic is terrible) or sitting outside in the scorching heat (of course only when not in church or hating someone because of their race or their homosexuality).

I love your take on ATL's "Lazing around at their suburban McMansions" . . . "eating out at lousy chain restaurants" . . . "when not in church" . . . Sing it Brotha'. True, True, True!
I would also add another primo activity:
1. Shopping at generic big-box stores like Target, HomeDepot and Kohl's as A Major Pastime - ALLLLLLLLLLL DAAAYYY - on Saturdays. Every. Single. Saturday. Of. The. Year. Why? To stockpile redundant items for the McMansion Grande or church. Every. Single. Saturday. Of. The. Year. Why else would the brilliant corporate minds of U.S. industry continue building these stores on every single exit, of every single interstate, 2 miles away from eachother, in this town?

Atlanta is actually a very nice city with many nice designer stores, concert venues, tourist destinations, fine dining, parks. And cool neigborhoods like east atlanta, inman park, little five points, virginia highlands. Not to mention it's actually very liberal and one of America's "gayest" cities.

I HATE, HATE, HATE these lists!!!! Not a single Midwestern city (other than Chicago) listed. The list's cities are all in the flippin' Sunbelt, one-season, no-history, sprawl heaven region of the country. Seriously, whoever's making these lists LOVES sprawl, because all of these cities sprawl like crazy. A few years ago, you could say it's the better economy, but now these Sunbelt cities are just as economically depressed, if not worse, than comparable cities in the Midwest. You could also mention the warm weather, but plenty of people appreciate having four seasons and don't want to feel like they're living in a sauna all year.
If you're a conservative, SUV-driving, subdivision living, McMansion-loving, child-having, faux-pretentious suburban yuppie you'll love the places on this list. If the above aspects don't describe you, you'll most likely think those cities leave much to be desired.

Atlanta may be liberal by Southern standards, but it would still be the most conservative city in Michigan by far. Compared to Midwest, Northeast, and West Coast cities, the Atlanta area is still very conservative. Not to mention its suburbs are hardcore Republican strongholds with a very, very conservative attitude.

Maybe there's a reason Chicago was the only Midwestern city listed was Chicago. But seriously, outside of Chicago, how do midwestern cities have more "history" than the Sunbelt Cities Does Western Expansion, the Civil War, and the Civil Rights Movement not count as history?
Anyway, glad to see Austin at number 4.
