Everyone always bashes where on everyones elses state and city where they live. What is the point? You don't like it don't visit and live there! No one is forcing you.

Well, I chose the city vs. city option.

Why?

Because I'm amazed at how many people weigh in on a city EVEN THOUGH THEY'VE NEVER BEEN THERE.

Seriously. Are you such a compulsive poster that you need to opine on a Boise vs. Spokane thread, even though you've never crossed the Mississippi River?

Almost as bad are the people who drive through a city on the interstate, maybe stop to get gas or grab a bit at McDonalds, then leave again and think they're experts on the city. Of course, they never stop to think that interstates typically go through some of the worst sections of town.

And of course, there are the people who come to town on business, stay in a Hampton Inn miles away from the cool spots in town, eat dinner at a Logan's Steak House across the parking lot from the hotel, and then anoint themselves experts on a place after an overnight biz trip.

So here's a good rule to follow. If you haven't actually spent significant time in a city, then don't weigh in on it.

I'm going with the pseudo phallic obsession.
Could you imagine poor Beavis In N.Y.?
That skyline with no woodshed or trailer
to one hand it.

Honorable mention city vs city.
Has anyone tried to post an inner city
neighborhood vs neighborhood thread ?
Let them turn on themselves for a change.

I'm probably in the minority here but I feel
like the Omaha/Scranton posters have actually
added to this forum. Personally I hope they keep
it going.

The city vs city, It amazes me that random cities are chosen for these, like Greenville vs. LA vs. Dallas vs. Fargo!?!? Sometimes its cool, other times when random cities are chosen, its like "What?"

Where is "all of the above"
All these prove is how many narrow minded people are around.

Nobody can actually admit one place is just as good as the other.

Here's a poll.......Rankin, Ill vs Spuds, Fl. Make just as much sense as all the other ones.
