Wisconsin wins for me because of the German influence on the culture and because of the thriving craft-brewing industry (not unrelated to the German influence on the culture). Minnesota's great advantage is that its Northwoods/Lake Country area hasn't been as overrun by weekenders as Wisconsin's has.

I don't know. I've never really visited Minnesota, except when I was driving back from South Dakota. It was really pretty though, at least near the Mississippi. (that's all I remember) I would like to visit Minneapolis someday. It sounds like a cool town.

Wisconsin has Lake Michigan, which is awesome, plus it is still a short ride to Michigan or Minnesota. Or Chicago. It is a very safe state and has alot of nice, older Midwest towns.

Plus, it has squeaky cheese curds.

Ely Minnesota is right off the beautiful Boundary waters, you want tranquility go there! Both states are great, Wisconsin is a bit more expensive...

Having lived in Wisconsin for quite a few year, naturally I say Wisconsin.

Certainly not dissing Minnesota-----a very fine state----pretty----great people.

I just love the beauty of Wisconsin----great rolling hills and plush farmland----they call Minnesota the land of 10,000 lakes, but I like Wisconsins lakes even more. Besides how can you not love a state that has cities with unique names-----Prarie Du Chien---Onalaska-----Fondulac----Oconnomoc----Ashwabennon---- Its Wisconsin all the way.

Minnesota. Wisconsin sucks! Not really, it's pretty nice actually, but it's even more "folksy" than MN and the people are strange to me (even IF they are German Poles like myself). I like the beer and barbeque culture of WI a lot more though (wish MN got more into that), but MN lakes, women, cities, and nature are better than MOST of WI's for me. Until you have "purified yourself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka", you may not understand what I mean.
