Trust me, I don't feel my State is inferior to ANY other state. There are just some who are much more vocal about how great they are and tend to do so by trying to run down other areas. If an area really is so great it will stand on it's own merits, then there's no need to run down others to have it do so.
I am originally from NYC and I never felt the same pride in Syracuse or Buffalo like you do in the city. You can't even compare these places to Texas, where they are like their own country. The same can be said about Cali.
Texans have pride in their state and were not ashamed to admit where were from. We may shove it down people's faces that were from Tx,but we don't diss other states while we do it. CA does a good job at that.
