The town of Colma, near San Francisco, has a living population of less than 2000, but has thousands of dead buried in 17 cemeteries.

Are there other cities/towns where the "population" of dead people outnumbers (or at least approximates) the population of live residents?

Or, in general, regardless of population stats, are there other "cemetery cities"--cities that have significant amounts of land dedicated to cemeteries?

Centralia, PA.

Underground coal fire started 40 years ago.

Only about 10 people left in the city, but from the looks of it, more in the cemeteries.
