I love Downtown manhattan/ Lower manhattan it has old buildings and new buildings in the mix.

Nice shots of Manhattan. Especially interesting because people may overlook the fact that there are such quaint neighborhoods in the heart of NYC. The Manhattan and Baltimore pictures bring us into the territory of big cities. In that category, of course Boston and Philly are great examples as well.

Verseau, you beat me to the punch on Portsmouth. Just up the coast is Portland, Maine. Here are a few links, from Wikipedia and from C-D's Portland page, to pics which show that Portland fits the bill pretty nicely as well:
