ATL has the brightest in the country, in my opinion. It's the fastest growing city in the country and the hip hop scene is nuts. Hotlanta is its nickname.

St. Louis.

Overall, in the next few decades I think people will start moving back into cities. The future should be good for cities across the country.

Nope - DFW is the fastest growing metro.

LJWorld.com / Texas has 4 of 10 fastest-growing cities

Right off the top of my head: Nashville, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Indianapolis, Denver, etc.

Who cares about the metro? If you live outside city limits, you don't count. Mayor Bloomberg is not the Mayor of my town, therefore I don't matter when determining the population... Same goes for every other place in the country.

Los Angeles-can't wait for the new downtown projects to finish and the NFL to come back in 2009 and the MTV VMA's just boosted the city even higher!!!!!

Location location location.

SF- becomes even more of an economically isolated eclusive enclave.Incredible location with great all around economic bones.

Boston- another knowledge based, professional, relatively small city with a great location. Shows absolutely no signs of anythng but a healthy future.

DC- Being the homebase for every single federal tax dollar is always going to be a desireable location. Every single penny of your federal income tax goes to the DC area and they dont let it stray too far away.

SD- Skys the limit with good sound city leadership. Most upward potential of any city in the country with quality civic guidance imo.
