I've often said that growing up in my area was like the Wonder Years, with the beach thrown in. Of course, it has changed.

I'm just wondering who feels that way about their area currently and why?

I did grow up where the "Wonder Years" was filmed. I trust you're referring to the TV show. The school where the children on the show attended was filmed at my high school as well, of course, as the whole area. They truly were the wonder years in the 50s and 60s in California.

LOL, great first post!!! I'm sure my brothers would agree with you. I just loved the "feel" of the show.

Yes, you can't beat the "good old days" never to be with us again. I'm just so glad I was raised in that era. Unless one is able to actually compare to then and now, one hasn't a clue.
