Default Best city for a criminal justice professional

Where is the best city to use my Criminal Justice Degree? And eventually my Forensic Psychology Degree? Would like to work with juveniles to assist them from re-offending as adults.

I have been very interested in the Chicago area. Does anyone recommend Chicago for what I want to do career wise?

If not, are there any other cities anyone would recommend for my career goals?

I currently reside in Delaware.

Thank you

Oakland, CA is VERY actively recruiting patrol officers starting at $70K/year so they may be looking for people in related fields.

Actually all of Illinois seems to be in need of more State Troopers and other state law enforcment.

Illinois base state trooper pay is just under 50k and California's is like 60k.....factor in the cost of living and you probably come out somewhat even

Oh, ok, makes sense. I thought about how Cali's cost of living is probably higher than Chicago's.
