Default NY and SF make T+Ls List of World's 10 Best Cities

Cuzco, Peru? I went there in the 90s and am surprised to see it so high up. Guess they really fixed up the place.

I have been to every city on the list except Cape Town (its high on my to do list though) and I am completely shocked that Bangkok is number 1. I have no idea what their criteria is and I am wary of any top list as its all arbitrary. Personally I could not wait to get out of Bangkok. I was okay in my lovely hotel. But I found the pollution, the humidity, the crowds, the rampant visibility of the sex industry disheartening. I did like the Royal Palace, I found the shopping good and I had never seen such nice modern malls.. but I am not a big shopper so I looked at Bangkok as R&R in between trips to Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar. I AM surprised that Paris is not on the list, I thought it was on almost every best city list.

I'm very surprised that Rome is on there over other European cities which are much more livable and culturally beautiful, etc.
