If you are referring to Greenwich Village, then that. But seeing as you say this has something to do with hsw's posts, I assume you mean the other Greenwich. Which is in Connecticut. And a suburb. And is absolutely nothing like Manhattan at all. Also, I've always found hsw's preoccupation with Greenwich to be kind of strange, seeing as the primary business/financial center of SW Conn. (which, really, is just a suburb of NYC) is Stamford, not Greenwich - and neither can compete with Manhattan.

Also, where is SF's Woodside? I've never heard of that, but I've only been to SF once, so...

Manhattan's Greenwich Village.

I pick Greenwich Village. The nice city streets, people walking, shops, cafes, clubs, new Trump Tower, the new high-rise condos going up, and the latest innovative addition soon to be completed (56 Leonard Street)... Here it is, really interesting building.
