Hey, it's the ABBA fans who are all about this topic. I guess they want a more favorable system so that they measure up better--if you get my drift.

We already have. And nobody but you and Ziggy Stardust like the idea. So quit bringing it up already.

We have discussed it AD FRIGGIN' NASEUM and we're tired of it already. Go troll some other board with your metric fetish for a while, we've had enough of it here.

Speaking of fetish...maybe this is why they're pushing so hard for it:

English system: 4"
Metric system: 10.16" centimeters.

Now, which sounds more impressive to a girl in a bar? "Hey, I'm from Sweden, and I'm double digits!"

I don't think many people here in the US will tell you the Imperial system is better or anything but it's just what most everyone thinks in. Most people don't conceive of how big a cm or a meter is. Some people do, but most don't. Length is actually the easiest too! What about liters? or kilograms? Now you really get into the spectrum of measures that people here just can't visualize because they've never used them. I've used metric extensively in my work and I'm can think in it to some decent degree (except liters). I wish we could easily convert but we can't. I don't begrudge people wanting to keep imperial measures because I can easily think in those too.

In a way, it's like changing the official language!
