Maybe because there are so many Hispanics in Miami and they refuse to assimilate into American culture, maybe because there is so much crime going on even in the nice areas, no one is safe.

Maybe because it's miserably humid? I know I could never live there.

Not liking someone based on what city they reside is probably one of the dumbest most ignorant things someone can do. To judge someone based off of the stereotypes of a certain city is probably one of the most backwards, close minded things one can do. If you don't know anything about an individual then don't judge them based off what city they happen to reside in; pre-judge = prejudice. Good and bad people exist everywhere and come from all cities. I like Miami btw and hope to move there next year. So don't let it get to you when you run into ignorant fools that trash talk on you just b/c you are from Miami, they are no better than you at all.

Miami is getting a lot of the same connotations as LA or Hollywood. So its not inexplicable..

I've never been there, Miami looks like an awesome place and I've always wanted to go. I couldn't live there though simply because of the perpetual Summer, don't get me wrong, some people like Florida for that. As someone who's never been, when I think Miami, I think diversity, culture, night-life, beach life, urbanism, and on the minus side, I think year round heat and snobbiness unfortunately.

Miami is crime ridden and dirty. Miami Beach on the other hand is a different story. Just like the strip is way different from the rest of Las Vegas.

Smile Miami is a terrible place.

It is like a third world country. Really bad. One of the most unamerican american Cities.
