They use my high school for many scenes involving east coast schools and universities. It looks similar to UCLA. Just very east coast-ish.

A lot of LA area neighborhoods don't enjoy the TV shows and movies filmed there anymore. They tie up traffic, etc. Whereas other parts of the state and country think they've died and gone to heaven if "Hollywood" shows up.

Well that's actually how our schools gets its money. We have no fundraisers or anything. We are the most filmed high school in the country and get like a couple grand per day. We buy new and high tech things almost every year with the revenue.

What's interesting is seeing so much of LA in many movies & most TV programs [even commercials]. Filming can be a pain in the ass if one is fighting traffic downtown. Also downtown is the construction of LA Live\ ESPN center

True, it's becoming more of a nightmare for not only commuters, but some residents as well.

Here's a fact most dense city supporters ignore. Los Angeles has a density of over 8,000 per square mile. That's almost as dense as most large east coast cities and more dense than most big midwestern cities including Pittsburg, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Detroit, Buffalo, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, and more.

Even though it's more dense than all of these cities it's still thought of by most as a surburban sprawling low density city. When the fact of matter is it's more and more becoming both high density and sprawling at the same time. Similar to Tokyo, Japan kind of.
