It is fall and in many communities the rite of passage is a long weekend looking at leaves. Maybe though, with the high cost of gasoline and terrible economy, you will have to forgo that trip into the country and look at leaves right in your backyard. How are the Fall Leaves in your hometown this year?

Here in Minneapolis leaves have been falling for quite a while. Some leaves haven't been turning color, many have been staying on the branches and crusting but not really turning color. I'll take a pic to show you.

We've been seeing some similar things down here in Little Rock but I think it's stopped and we may get a decent display. Some of the early turners have been trying to change for a month now and I thought we were going to get a really early display but not so. I think we're on track for peaking in about 2-3 weeks.

we have a little, but the hills around my house are still mostly green. my burning bush is a brilliant red though. peak here should be in about 2 weeks i suspect. i'm fortunate in that i don't have to drive at all to see great color.

There are some fall colors around. Leave here and there. Nothing has really fallen yet.

Just a little color in Chicagoland so far, mostly yellow. We dont get the oranges and reds usually until mid-to-late October. A few leaves are falling, but mostly everything is still green.

Ahh...... I like the fall season. We don't get a lot of color change here on the coast of Oregon. You've got to take a drive inland to see some colors. It's still green here, but many of the trees are evergreen. Still there are some other trees that would change color later. When we get the big storms with wind it'll blow the leaves off. Then you know it's time to get the rake out, and get busy in between storms.
