I'm surprised that Wilmington, DE and Chester, PA are left off most of the lists. Wilmington had record murders this year and Delaware is one of the only states in the Northeast where violent crime has risen in the past 7-8 years. Chester, PA had a curfew this summer and has always been at the top for crime and murder.

Wilmington reminds me of a smaller Baltimore mixed with Camden.

I'm surprised Springfield, MA wasn't on the list.

Definitely lots of speculation on this board. This is the 2009 FBI Crime list: (Violent crime rates 14 and up.)
United States cities by crime rate - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Camden 23.8
Wilmington 18.49
Irvington 18.20
Harrisburg 17.7
New Haven 17.65
Baltimore 15.1
Buffalo 14.5

Other high-crime cities:

Trenton 13.97
Hartford 12.92
Washington 12.65
Philadelphia 12.38
Newark NJ 9.3

Chester, PA and Atlantic City, NJ would probably appear if they counted cities under 40k.

Link please. Absurd info. What are the two cities in the county more dangerous than New Haven? Neither city could make a top 10 list.
