And here is probably the ugliest. All the rivers in Southern California have basically become just concrete ditches. I wish they would have found a more attractive way to prevent flooding other than this.

I just purchased a new Digital Camera and I know have a reason to use it. Over Thanksgiving I'll be returning to Connecticut to visit my Mother and I'll be in the Hartford area. They've done a nice job fixing up the waterfront of both downtown Hartford and across the river in East Hartford. I'll get some photos of Hartford and post them here at that time unless in the meantime, someone beats me to it. :-)
