PS It's one thing to disagree, it's another to be incorrect while disagreeing. LA is nowhere near NYC, London, Paris, Tokyo, or Hong Kong's league. 'Nuff said. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out such facts.
Uhh...then why is LA right after them? It is in very close competition with HK. It may not be equal to NYC, London, Paris, or Tokyo, but it is close to HK. Also, give it some time. Notice the top three are very old cities that have had worldly features for centuries longer than LA.

Yeah, I think I agree with you about some of those cities. NYC, LA, Chicago, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Toronto, and Moscow definitely seem like they are. The others are arguable.

You can't be serious? Paris is one of the most urban, diverse, important, cultural, entertainment and economic powerhouses in the world. Many of those I just named Paris exceeds over all cities in the world for. Much more than Singapore, Frankfurt, DC (heck the city is modeled after Paris), Toronto, or Moscow. It is consistently rated as one of the top cities in the world and it isn't only because of it's beauty. The city of Paris has the 5th largest GDP in the world and has the 2nd largest economy I believe in all of Europe.
Atlanta's in the top 60 global cities, but Houston isn't. Some people in this forum from Texas are going to have a fit.
I know that it is all relative and all but the Houstonians do have a point. I mean, it has a ways to go but to say one of the most important cities in the US not even ranked in the top 60 is beyond comprehension. The funny thing is that on this very same topic on other boards, first thing people noticed was that Houston was not mentioned.

I visited Paris several years ago (along with several others in Europe) and I just wasn't that impressed with the place. It isn't awful, but I just thought that it was nowhere near as great as London or Frankfurt as far as Europe cities are concerned.

I can understand if it wasn't your cup of tea. But this is not what this list is based on. Frankfurt (where I was born) does not match the diversity, economic clout, business clout, urbanity, density, or elegance of Paris. London is the only city that rivals Paris when it comes to all of this in all of Europe. Paris is deservingly at the top of this list for a reason. I know my Mom said the city was dirty so I can see why you would say this.
