If you moved to a new place in the past not knowing anyone, which city in your experience did you find it easy to adjust to, meet new friends, make connections and create a great lifestyle being a young single person.

Default Miami...

...but it isn't on your poll. Lots of superficial people BUT I met tons of friend who introduced me to other friends, etc, etc. I have since left and most of my Miami friends are living elsewhere as well, but we all stay in touch.

Not to mention if you are young and into the party scene, it is great there!

Chicago was very fun and easy. People are all nice, although a little more guarded than down south. I made amazing friends here almost within weeks though.

Sorry, I voted for Denver before I saw the word single. I have never lived alone. I was still living at home when I got married and have been married to the same person for 44 years. We went to Denver as a young married couple with a 9 month old baby. Loved it! My husband went to his company's computer school as an apprentice, so our stay was temperory.

I have moved alone to a few different places, but this area (Tampa Bay) keeps on calling me back. To answer the question, I have enjoyed things about everywhere I have lived.

Is there a trend forming? Based on the poll so far- is it the larger the city the better the opportunity for making new friends and connections? I'd figure it would be more challenging moving in a tiny NYC studio apartment not knowing anyone one in a city of 8 million?

You're correct. NYC has been surveyed and named America's Most Lonely City a few years ago
