Lol, carefully avoiding the last three posts!

Sadly (for North Carolina) the state appears to be on the radar site for alot of Northerns looking for their personal utopia. I hope they find it. For now at least the state appears to be beautiful and I hear alot of good things about it.

I voted no - I have never heard anyone brag or show off from North Carolina.

Wow edited 3 times for spelling mistakes - see if you can find more!

I visited North Carolina for the first time last month. I had been to every eastern state in the US long before but had somehow missed NC. I traveled through the Smoky Mountains and much of western NC and I must say I liked it better than any eastern state I have been. I live on the west coast and like it here but if I had to retire in the east western NC would be the one place I'd like to be. It's not overhyped IMO.
Texas would be the most overhyped state IMO. 80% of it is a flat sun baked prairie. ugh.

Up here in the mountains, most homes do have two front doors, but it's so you can enjoy the view from all over the house. But yes, I believe NC is over hyped. It's over hyped by the people in Florida and all over the East Coast. This is a beautiful state and has some of the friendliest peopleyou ever want to meet, but when you actually live here, it's a different story. It's really not as cheap as people think and a lot of the laws are a bit backwards, which I'm sure is the case in a lot of places. Before I moved to NC, we would vacation here several times a year,I couldn't wait to get here. Lol, now I'm looking to get out. As I stated before it's a beautiful place, but you can't eat the scenery.

Which is one of the reasons I don't buy into all this overhyping the positive and hiding the negative...I want it all baby! I'll decide from there.
