Based on the title of this thread, I would say their schools certainly aren't underrated!

ouchies!

Well, when I think of Phoenix... I think of a Big Sprawling metropolitan area that is predominately white, with a significant Hispanic minority, with a small Afro community along with a small but almost non existent Asian community(compared cities with average size Asian communities like Chicago and Dallas at least)....in a desert. Which is not necessarily bad, i like the desert. But I get sick of it.
I should probably look into phoenix more, I know almost nothing about it. But as far as on City Data, yes Phoenix is underrated. People here beat down on Phoenix alot, even though they probably don't know too much about it... along with Miami and Detroit.

I've been to Phoenix a few times.

I have never once thought that people in Phoenix wear cowboy hats,to me Phoenix and cowboys just dont sound right.

I dont think of any certain food when I think of Phoenix except just maybe chain restaurants.

When I think of cities I dont really think of Phoenix as much of a city for some reason,If I were going to a nearby city I would pick Denver or I would rather go to Dallas than Phoenix.

I dont think the city has any scenery to it, it just seems like a big suburb. I dont think it has much character either or unique-ness, Phoenix just dosent impress me. Amarillo Texas impresses me more than Phoenix does.

Phoenix does have alot of sports though.

I would say the size of the Native American population in Phoenix is about the same as that of the Asian population.

When i Think Phoenix, i think tons of Sprawl and new buildings. I think of Parties and clubs for some reason haha. I think of slight native American Influences like in a small bit of its architecture. I think of old people and retires. I think of Nightlife. I think of a city that wasn't well developed or had much thought put into it. I think sort of like Plastic fits the description. I don't think there is someone 'native' to Phoenix, there all transplants. yea, those are my thoughts on phoenix although ive only seen it from a plane

Judging from driving by Phoenix on the interstate, it looks pretty nice. I think the suburbs are new and modern and desireable. I wouldn't want to live there because of the heat - couldn't stand it.

I've sort of written it off as another dry, arid sunbelt city with outrageous heat issues and large bugs.

But, like, without even the sparse greenery of its neighbors. I don't think it's a sustainable place.
