Most of the rest of the world also knows nothing about a democratic republic, which we pretty much take for granted in the US. So should we also change our government and have despotism, just because so many other countries do?

Have you seriously not learned your lesson from your previous 2 accounts North NJ and Mattias?? Get a grip already!! You have about a million threads about Metric vs whatever from your two previous accounts. Just go look at those threads again and stop posting these annoying threads about the same thing over and over. You're going to keep getting the same answers so why keep starting this BS? All you are gonna do is cause yourself to flip out again like last time and get banned AGAIN. GIVE IT UP ALREADY!

Aw heck, I thought this thread was gonna be about objects that kept wheels from rolling...

(The Metric Sysytem makes life easy for the math-challenged like me...)

Plus I thought you were only allowed one ID and couldn't show back up under another name without getting the boot again.

He's just a dumb kid who is homesick and lashing out at anything and everything that is different here from there. Kind of like my 5 year old when something changes he has zero control over. Major difference is he tosses a conniption and then gets over it, not dwells on it like this kid does.

Just because a larger number of people use something doesn't make it the ONLY right thing. That is like saying because there are 6.5 Billion right handed people in the world the others who are left handed have to switch because it makes more sense. No it doesn't, it just means people use what is more comfortable and right for them. Same as the measurement systems. Why is this such a big deal for you? Does you family make less money because of the system of measurements used, or do you drive a crappy car because it has MPH on the speedo other than kM/H? Did somebody kick your puppy because you mentioned Metric? In the end it boils down to no big deal.

(There are 6,7 billion people on Earth totally as of oct 2008)

What do you think when you see the numbers?
It would be wise of you to just give it a rest already. We have had this discussion numerous times before, and it leads to nowhere.

It's cool that you think the metric system is great. It's not cool when you start crictizing people who disagree with you.

Yes. Progressive, advanced countries such as Bolivia, Zambia, Belarus, Turkmenistan, Chad, Guatemala, and dozens of others. And your point would be...?

Is "chocked" some Jersey word?

Honestly, I don't care if the rest of the World uses the Metric System. How about we force every country to speak English, Spanish, and Chinese? Because those seem to be the most dominant languages.
