My dad's grandparents (on both sides) are Germans that came over from Transylvania. Some of my mom's ancestors have been here since the revolution and civil war, but they are of German, English, Irish, Scottish, and Welsh descent.

I'm mostly Black but my White great-grandfather (on my mothers side) was from England.
I don't know where my White great-grandfather on my father's side was originally from. Guess I should have paid attention when my father was trying to tell me.

This should be a multiple choice question.

England and Scotland probably as far as I know, but that's not all I'm sure. Some branches of my tree I can't trace.

My parents were from the Azores. Actually, my dad was born here but spent part of his childhood in the Terceira Island (family owned a dairy farm in Central California). He met my mother there.

The closest to having "something else" is a great-great-great-grandmother" from Ireland.
