Just look at the sheer size of california of corse its the most powerful state in the US. Look at all the regions it has. The silicon valley, the weapons testing the do in the deserts, all the aeronautics, # 1 in bio-technology, making huge advancements in the medical field, then you got the central valley one of the most productive agricultural regions in the world. Then you all the military bases and alot of weapons testing centers. Then on top of all that you still got entertainment hollywood and theme parks. And california is the most geogrphically diverse state in the nation deserts mountains beaches forest snows in the north hot in the south. Im not from california but I have to admit california is a beast. If it were its own country it would be the 35th largest economy in the world.

Where is the middle ground in this poll...you make it look like you either love California (which I don't) or you hate California (which I don't)...
So, I'm refusing to vote you are obviously trying to start something.

Of course (rather than of "corse") California is powerful. In fact, it's the most powerful political entity in the history of civilization, and anyone who dares to suggest otherwise is doomed to eternal oblivion. All hail mighty California (which is smaller than both Alaska and Texas, but why quibble over silly technicalities?) There...that should put the cap on the bottle.

I'm aware of that, thanks. And just out of curiosity, what makes you say those things about California?

Just based on facts. I look up statistics and facts for fun. And if you just turn on the TV or go on the internet its hard not to see something that is either filmed or made in california. As a matter of fact most of the computers or computer programs that most of the members of city-data are using right now were probably made in Cali. The moniter that your looking through righ now is probably from a computer company in Cali.

California is NOT the most important state ,and I can guarantee you that. It has tough competition with states like Texas and New York.
