Yeah. That's interesting that your friend is a baseball fan. There are a few teams in the southern California area you could watch. I'll be honest, I don't watch much soccer. Soccer isn't that popular here. Baseball by far is the most popular American sport. Hockey, and American football are also interesting if you have the time.

But the coasts and New York probably will be very expensive, but you could probably find a lot to do in Chicago. Chicago, St. Louis, Cincinnati, Detroit, Minneapolis/St. Paul, and Milwaukee are also pretty good Midwestern cities, but beaches wouldn't be as big of a draw there.

Go to NY, take a weekend trip to Montauk, Long Island. Absolutely beautiful.

Check out Colorado. Mountains, lakes, hiking, midwestern people, and some of the best breweries in America. There's a lot to do in Denver during the summer!
